Every Christmas season goes by so fast! Some people argue whether or not to decorate earlier or wait until the day after Thanksgiving. I say, do what makes you happy! The entire world does not live inside your home, just you and your family! I had found a photo once that was taken of winter in a park where the park trees were lit up and it gleamed around the snow. It was a beautiful photo that I had just fallen in love with. It is not yet snowing here, but I can see such similarities in this photograph to the other one I had seen years ago. I feel like I am exactly where I am supposed to be...or getting awful close!
I wish to be grateful all year, but we have to take a moment every Thanksgiving and truly go inward. While some will fight over shopping deals, or how the real Thanksgiving was not really about celebrating giving thanks between the Indians and the Pilgrims, today I choose to be grateful to the lessons I have learned from the truth I have found in my life. I choose to celebrate Thanksgiving as a time to reflect and visit with family. A time to prepare for the season of giving. I want to grow in a different direction for Christmas where it isn't all about the money you spend on everyone. We are all so consumed by consumerism, and end up feeling more depressed than feeling wholesome and happy. It is all about shifting focus! I wish you all find a way to shift your focus this holiday season and truly enjoy this season of giving.
